Oasis - Definitely Maybe - 30th Anniversary LP
1994's Definitely Maybe by Oasis wasn't just an album for me, it was a cultural awakening. The swagger, the anthems, the sheer belief in the music – it hit me like a sonic boom right when I was starting to figure things out , whilst working on the Record counter at Woolies. "Live Forever," "Supersonic," and my personal favourite " Columbia" the whole record pulsed with this raw, unadulterated energy of not giving a single fuck.
Now, suddenly we find ourselves in the year of it's 30th anniversary and my latest work is a tribute to Definitely Maybe, Its been a long road and it started to weigh heavy because of the importance of the album to me. As I wanted to try and capture that lightning in a bottle, a visual montage that reflects the sound and spirit of that era.
It's a celebration of the anthems that became our battle cries, the swagger that defined a generation, the feeling that the world was ours for the taking.
