Oasis - Shakermaker
This was the first song Noel Gallagher wrote with Oasis and was first performed in Manchester's Boardwalk on Jan 15th 1992. A stone cold groove born out the Manchester Acid scene.
The artwork draws inspiration from those early days. The background is composed of abstract splashes of paint, symbolising the raw energy and rebelliousness of the band's early sound. The Boardwalk fills the backdrop. The building's architectural style echoes the industrial backdrop of Manchester. The colour palette is muted with shades of dark green, grey, and brick red, adding a gritty and urban atmosphere that mirrors the band's working-class roots and the anthemic nature of the song.
And for the record, it my favourite Oasis track!
